Electronic, yet organic. Lush, yet minimalist. These are some of the oxymorons used to describe Landon Rudd’s music. Influenced by musicians like Steve Reich, Marty O’Donnell, and Thomas Newman, Landon seeks to get the most out of every element, seamlessly blending computer circuitry with tangible instrumentation.

Landon has experience creating focused and fresh music for video games, short films, and advertisements. Most recently, he composed the scores for the FS1 documentaries Paula Murphy: Undaunted and Boundless: Betty Skelton, as well as the score for But We Are, winner of Best Narrative Short Film at the Cannes World Film Festival. Landon has also worked with companies like MilkBar, Investopedia, LMNT, and GH Bass.

Landon received his Master’s Degree in Screen Scoring from NYU in 2021. He also earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Media Production from High Point University in High Point, NC. During Summer 2019, Landon was one of thirteen students selected to participate in the NYU/BMI Scoring for Advertising Workshop and one of fifteen in the NYU Scoring for Video Games Workshop.

Born and bred in Cornelius, North Carolina, Landon now resides in the East Village of New York City. He is a member of the Society of Composers and Lyricists (SCL) and the Game Audio Network Guild (GANG). Previously, he worked as a Post Production Assistant for the CBS television series Blue Bloods. Landon is open to any opportunity to work with passionate creators and help projects reach their full potential through the art of music.
